Cabinet No.7 (“we”, “us”) publishes printable detective-mystery games. We keep this simple: we collect as little about you as possible, we never sell your data, and we use it only to deliver what you bought and to support you afterwards.

Browsing this site collects nothing about you personally — no account, no sign-up. When you buy a case, our payment provider collects the details needed for the sale (your name, email address and payment details). We receive your email address and the fact of your purchase so we can deliver the file and help if something goes wrong. We do not see or store your card or banking details — those stay with the payment provider.
We use Google Analytics only with your consent. On your first visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure aggregated use — such as pages visited and where visitors come from — with IP anonymisation enabled. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
For a visitor who accepted analytics, an anonymous Google Analytics identifier is included with the checkout. After a successful payment, our server records the purchase in Google Analytics using that identifier, the order reference, price, currency and product name. We do not send your name, email address, payment details or other direct identifiers to Google Analytics. We run no advertising or cross-site tracking. Checkout pages are operated by Lemon Squeezy and may set cookies strictly necessary to process payment.
With the same consent we also use Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used: anonymous heatmaps and recordings of clicks, scrolling and movement between pages, so we can find what is confusing and fix it. Clarity hides what you type into fields and does not see the payment pages (they are run by Lemon Squeezy). We use it only to improve the site, never for advertising. If you decline analytics, Clarity does not load.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics, our hosting provider's privacy-friendly statistics. It works without cookies and without storing anything on your device, does not recognise returning visitors and does not track you across sites: it only counts page views, the referring website, country and device type in aggregate. When you click «Buy», the checkout link also carries the short name of the website or campaign that brought you to us (for example "google" or "chatgpt") so we can see which channels lead to purchases. It never contains a full web address or anything that identifies you.
We also keep our own daily counts of how many times case, game and article pages were opened, free samples were downloaded and “Buy” was pressed, and which site the visit came from (for example, “google”). These are totals only: no cookie, nothing stored on your device and nothing about you. The counts are kept for no longer than 400 days.
We use your email address only to deliver your case file and receipt, send one invitation to review your purchase about 48 hours later, and reply if you contact us. The review invitation links to Trustpilot; we do not add you to a marketing list without your clear consent.
If you request the detective reward after completing the clue activity, we use your email only to send a personal single-use 10% code. For seven days, we keep a one-way hash of the address — not the readable address — to prevent a second code being issued. This does not subscribe you to marketing.
If you leave your email in the “Request access” form for the interactive edition of Death at Ashford Hall, we use it only for one email announcing its launch. Along with the address we keep the language you chose, the place on the site where you signed up, the date and a record of your consent. The list is deleted after that email; you can withdraw your consent and have your address deleted sooner at any time by writing to us.
If you leave your email in the “Restricted Archives” on the cases page, we write to you only when new Cabinet No.7 cases are released — one email per case — and keep the address until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link; you can also simply write to us to have the address deleted.
If you join the “Detectives’ Club” on the home page, we write to you about new cases and the interactive edition and send fragments from the archive files. We keep the address until you unsubscribe; every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also simply write to us to have it deleted.
We share the minimum necessary with the services that make the shop work: Lemon Squeezy (payment, tax handling, delivery and the single-use reward code), Resend (sending the review invitation and the reward email), Upstash (the one-way seven-day reward marker), Google Analytics (only after analytics consent, as described above) and Trustpilot if you choose to leave a review. These services process data under their own privacy terms. We do not sell or rent your personal data.
Addresses on the “Request access” list are stored with Upstash. We receive a service notification in Telegram about each new sign-up and each sale, with the address partly hidden.
We keep purchase records only as long as needed to support you and to meet tax and accounting obligations, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your details at any time, subject to those legal obligations.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to object to its use. To exercise any of these, email us at cabinetno7games@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Our games are written for adults and older teens. This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
